'Capes Encouraged, Not Required' – SuperRun & Kare Organization Partner This May
I have some exciting news for anyone that's going to be in the Princeton area of New Jersey, or surrounding areas this May. SuperRun is coming to our neck of the woods! For those of you who don't know, SuperRun is an organization that partners with non-profit organizations to help raise awareness for their cause. What makes it really fun is, the event is superhero themed. On May 3rd, SuperRun will partner with the Kare Organization a.k.a Kyle and Rose Epilepsy Organization.
Kare's statement:
Kare Organization was formed in 2010 in honor of my son Kyle. It is our mission to raise awareness for epilepsy, offer support to those who suffer from it and to those who love and care for them, and to fund a cure. It is our hope that one day epilepsy will be a thing of the past! We hope you will Join The Fight!
This should be a great event, and from the pictures I've seen, it looks like people get really into the theme. Although, SuperRun does state on their website, "Capes Encouraged, Not Required." The race will be a 5K, and there will also be a 1K Fun Run, games for kids, and giveaways. The early registration fee is $35, and after April 28th the price increases to $40. When you register, you will receive an authentic superhero cape, "I'm Super" temporary tattoo, and a silicone awareness bracelet. For more information be sure to visit SuperRun's website.
This is an inventive, fun way to raise money for a good cause, so be sure to consider participating if you're in the area. I can't run to save my life…but I'm thinking I could do it for one day to be a part of this awesome event.
