Things Keep Getting Worse for Carol in Captain Marvel #9 [Preview]

Things aren't going so well for Captain Marvel, as this preview of next week's Captain Marvel #9 by Kelly Thompson and Carmen Carnero illustrates.

The recap page lays it out. Not only are Carol's powers starting to fail her, but fake news about her Kree heritage has turned the Marvel Universe against her as well. Oh, and she's flirting with taking up drinking again. Plus, she's thinking of teaming up with her old enemy, Minn-Erva.

Oh yeah, and they kicked her out of the Air Force too. Damn.

Thankfully, Carol's friends (and boyfriend) are sticking by her for now.

Battling a Kraken… better than sex?

Though sex doesn't usually tend to cause so much wanton destruction. Usually.

And now Carol seems to be shooting blanks.

And it's only gonna get worse from here. Captain Marvel #9 hits stores next Wednesday.
