Figment Hardcover Delayed Not Cancelled
Peter S. Svensson still writes for Bleeding Cool.
Retailers may have noticed that the upcoming Figment Hardcover, collecting the acclaimed multiple-printing miniseries by writer Jim Zub and artist Filipe Andrade, which had been set for a December release, was listed by Diamond as cancelled.
Fear not! Writer Jim Zub had this to say on his twitter:
People have been asking me about the Figment hardcover release after pre-orders were cancelled. Just confirmed that it's been pushed to May.
The Figment HC was originally going to come out in May (a year after the launch). Marvel tried to get it out for Nov but it didn't work out.
So now we're back to a May release on the Figment HC. Sorry for the delay, Dreamfinders. We appreciate your support.
So there you have it. The best comic adapting a Disney Epcot ride featuring a protagonist with magic facial hair will still be coming out in Hardcover, just six months from now instead of in a few weeks.
Peter S. Svensson is the manager of SpaceCat Comics in San Jose.
