Glauco Villas Boas' Killer Arrested Again, After Police Shoot Out

Four and a half years ago, we ran a story about how a Brazilian cartoonist, Glauco Villas Boas and his son were killed by a man claiming religious conviction.

Carlos Eduardo Sundfeld Nunes confessed, was arrested and charged. He was found insane and was institutionalised into a psychiatric facility in Goiania after being diagnosed with a schizophrenic disorder

Until last year when he was released after being. Challenged by lawyers and the family at the time, a judge ruled he could receive a medical discharge, based on the medical court evaluation, who stated he could continue treatment without being hospitalised.

You know where this is going, don't you?

On Monday he and another man were arrested for committing armed robbery, and for shooting at arresting officers. The car they were driving was had been taken in a robbery the previous night, in which its owner was shot and killed.

News reports indicate a gun consistent with that murder was seized during the arrest, after the car crashed into a wall. Both deny the original crime.
