I Guess Catwoman and Poison Ivy Aren't Netflix Chillers Any More (Batman #41 Spoilers)

As we pointed out, in recent years, some folk at DC Comics has come round to the idea of Poison Ivy being a protagonist rather than an antagonist. An anti-hero. Someone with a moral agenda. But not everyone. Hence the internal conflict right now – especially with Batman writer Tom King in the lead.

So we have a Poison Ivy who has no interest in wiping out humanity,,,

Being recognised by Batman for her intent to create cures…

And repeatedly used by Gothamites to do just that…

And even gainfully employed by Barbara Gordon.

Of course, Batgirl & The Birds Of Prey has been cancelled. And Poison Ivy is up for grabs. And in Batman #41 is playing the role of a benign Purple Man, in control of the whole world except for two people.

Oh please, Catwoman, we know your mutual history, she's already had you. But in Batman #41 she's going all Ozymandias. And did it thirty-five minutes ago…

And she's here to fix the world. Whether it wants fixing or not.

Maybe she just wants DC Comics to uncancel Batgirl And The Birds Of Prey? It looked like she was close to establishing a regular gig on that one….

Man, gotta love that Mike Janin and June Chung team….
