IDW To Adapt Powers Into A Line Of Games

PowersIDW Games has announced a new line of tabletop games based off the Powers graphic novels by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon OemingPowers is a super hero noir series that was recently adapted for television by PlayStation network. The game line will include card, board, and dice games each focusing on different situations and characters from the series.

"We are thrilled to be teaming up with our friends at IDW. We have been very careful about how we merchandise Powers… only teaming up with the very best." says Brian Michael Bendis. "And for these games, which are easily our most requested items, IDW is the perfect place."

The first Powers game will be a small box game where players will take on the role of investigators hunting down super-powered criminals, or "powers." In the game, players will be working together to track and hopefully capture a player-controlled super villain before time runs out. The game will feature an array of criminals pulled from the comic series, each with their own special abilities and rules. Throughout the course of play, players will not only have to determine how to catch their prey, but who exactly they're hunting before they escape into the night for good.

"Powers has a lot of opportunity for game play," says Michael Avon Oeming. "IDW is going to create something for new and old fans alike."

Powers: The Card Game will hit stores in early 2016.
