Jim Lee's Art from Legion of Superheroes, the Answer to Amazon Rainforest Fires and Jeffrey Epstein?

Via an EXCLUSIVE feature with monthly entertainment news website Entertainment Weekly, DC Comics has revealed a first look at Jim Lee's interior art for the upcoming Legion of Superheroes: Millennium #1. Lee actually producing interior art is a rare occasion, like a solar eclipse or an appearance by Halley's Comet, so it's no surprise that Entertainment Weekly would make a big deal out of it. However, might the website have exaggerated slightly when they positioned the new Legion of Superheroes series, written by "The Great One" Brian Bendis, as basically the answer to all the world's problems, including burning Amazon rainforests and rampant sexual assault allegations?

You be the judge. From the article, in a sentence which links to the rainforest fires, Boris Johnson disolving British Parliament, and the latest report of Jeffrey Epstein's heinous exploits:

With daily news reports about the burning rainforest and disintegrating democratic norms and famous people accused of awful crimes, it's easy to think that this dark and dismal present moment might be inescapable. But, at least when it comes to the realm of fiction, DC Comics is trying to resurrect a utopian vision of the future.

Jeeze. Well, while that may manage to top even Marvel's "every super-mega-crossover event will shake the universe to its foundations and nothing will ever be the same again" hyperbole, it is always nice to see some Jim Lee art, so here it is:

Legion of Superheroes #1 is in stores on November 6th, and will be preceded by Legion of Superheroes: Millennium, a 2-issue event beginning next week, which is where you'll find Lee's art. Afterward, Lee will fade out of sync with our reality and not be seen drawing interior art for another thousand years.
