Mauro Vargas' Process Art For Newbury Comics Exclusive Grumpy Cat Cover (Updated)

Here we have another retailer exclusive variant cover by Mauro Vargas for Grumpy Cat #1. The popularity of the sour looking feline seems to be translating well into the four color world as many retailers are signing up for exclusive covers. This first issue of the internet sensation is for Newbury Comics… which is one of the few stores I've ever scene to also do exclusive color vinyl records.

Here we get to see Vargas' original art, then with color and finally with trade dress.
