Marvel Unleashes Four "Gwensters" Variants

Gwensters Unleashed variants are variant covers for Marvel's upcoming Monsters Unleashed super-mega-crossover event which feature classic Marvel monsters reimagined as Gwen Stacy. It's part of Marvel's ongoing push to make a Gwen Stacy or Deadpool version of every character in existence. Marvel is giving the people what they want, and what they want is Gwen Stacy versions of every character.

The Gwen Stacy madness began with Spider-Gwen, created by Jason Latour and Robbie Rodriguez. Robriguez may have recently deleted his entire tweet history after a practical joke gone awry, but his legacy lives on through the Gwen-gimmick, which seems to have no limit and no diminishing returns. Now, they're getting their own variant theme.

Bleeding Cool told you these variants were coming. There will be eight total. Now, four of them are here. And they're… adorable. Check 'em out:

Monsters Unleashed, written by Cullen Bunn and drawn by a team of artists who, fingers crossed, will be able to each get their one book out on time and break the cycle of delayed Marvel events, including Steve McNiven, Greg Land, Adam Kubert, Salvador Larroca, and Leinil Yu. The monsters, and the Gwensters, will be unleashed in January.
