Nick Spencer Now Under Attack From Nick Spencer In Not Brand Echh #14

Nick Spencer had a bit of a rough year when it came to social media. Secret Empire was a best-selling title for Marvel this year, but the act of turning Captain America into a Hydra fascist brimming with Nazi regalia and being judged worthy to wield the hammer of Thor saw him labelled a Nazi apologist, saw his comics burned and added death threats.

Well, now Nick Spencer has a new harasser. And it just so happens to be Nick Spencer. From the revived-for-one-issue parody comic Not Brand Echh from Marvel Comics, first a look at social media and the hatred he created…

… how you had to spend huge amounts on different books….

…. to have a hope of following what on Earth was going on…

The unoriginality of his plots…

The plotline about Black Widow getting the young superheroes to form a team to kill Captain America.

His lateness…

His overwriting…

His ties into yet more titles that you had to buy that signified very little…

But as to the critique of making a Jewish-created character a Nazi… very little. Though maybe a little about PR saying that it had nothing to do with real world politics…

But come on, Nick! If you are going to do a self-lambasting job at least go for the jugular. Or prepare to be burnt all over again…

And yes, there are other stories as well…
