North England Comic Shop For Sale..
These kind of opportunities don't come along too often. So it's worth making a feature of it. Simon Shaw of Legacy Comics in Halifax writes;
Legacy Comics has been open since May 2009, situated inside the historical Piece Hall in Halifax. Over that time I've had many varied events in my store; from the annual "Halloween Havoc" fancy dress competition to Geof Banyard's "First Tea Company Enlistment Fair" and guests from the guys behind Bearded Skull Comics to David Hine and Shaky Kane for their cult classic "The Bulletproof Coffin" (I was the only shop in the North to have them!) to Matthew Craig doing an artist's workshop for children to design their own super heroes for Halifax to Kieron Gillen & Doug Braithwaite just last week on the eve of Thought Bubble.The shop has evolved in the short space of time I have been open and I am deeply proud of what I've been able to achieve just being a one man show but the reality of the current economic climate is setting in and it is with a deep regret and sadness that I feel I have to part ways with what I have created whilst on a high, but not without passing Legacy onto someone with as much vibrancy and drive for the business as I have had, because the last thing I would want is for Legacy to die, all my effort and hard work to be for nothing and leave my growing customer base without the comics that they love.If you are interested in buying my business and continuing on the Legacy of Legacy Comics, please contact me on Legacycomics@rocketmail.com
There you go. So… who wants to be a comic book guy?
