People Wake Up To… The British General Election
In Britain, the General Election is underway. Everyone gets to vote on for a local Member of Parliament, and then whichever party can form a majority of MPs gets to form the government. Except with the latest polls giving Labour and Conservative parties 34.1% each and the vote not concentrated enough thanks to the efforts of the Scottish National Party and UKIP, we are going to have a no overall party in majority, and parties forced to do dealings with parties they have previously stated they will have no dealings with. It's going to be rough out there. Labour should have an advantage due to boundary lines, Conservatives should have an advantage from "shy" voters telling pollsters they aren't voting Conservative but are. We have no ideas what's going to happen…
Just that something is. Here's how it has begun… I'll be staying up for 24 hours obviously. Maybe with a wee nap at one point…
