A Canine-Themed Hero Avenges His Mentor – Preview The First Two Issues Of Action Lab's Stray Plus Cover Gallery

Action Lab's 2015 lineup is pretty robust–covering many genres and storytypes from books like Princeless in more of a fantasy vein to mad science, cute adventure stories, and more than a few hero-driven tales. One of their more super-hero themed books will be Stray, initially a successfully funded Kickstarter,  it's now coming to Action Lab, and explores the quest of a "prodigal sidekick" who comes back to avenge the death of his mentor. And these human heroes are, in fact, themed around the canine world.

Writer Vito Delsante and artist Sean Izaakse have not only supplied us with some preview pages from #1 and #2, but even an exclusive preview of the cover of #3 by ChrisCross.

Stray Print 1 smlThe series is described thus:

Stray is the story of Rodney Weller, formerly known as the Rottweiler, sidekick to the great Doberman…his mentor. It's been five years since he's worn a costume and taken to the rooftops, but he's back to solve the murder of the person who trained him. In the end, if he survives, he'll have to decide if he wants to take over his mentor's mantle, or become something…someone, new. The story is about redemption and finding your own identity in the world…about honoring your past, but forging a new present.
