Disney Think We'll Have A New Indiana Jones Film In Two Or Three Years
Disney now owns all aspects of future Indiana Jones adventures, and a new film could be on screen in two or three years, says Chairman Alan Horn.
It'll take a couple years, Horn says, because they don't have any concrete plans for how to continue to tell the story yet:
We haven't done anything. We don't have a story. We need a story.
Well, I doubt they really haven't done anything, but it's probably true that Lucasfilm, which will produce all Indy films in the future, is mostly focused on getting Star Wars: Episode VII out right now.
On that front, Horn reiterates his earlier statements, that a new Star Wars film, whether that's sequels in the main timeline or spinoff stories, will be released every year, starting with Episode VII in 2015. And, if you think about that timeline, Indy won't be far behind.
Variety were quoting Horn from an investors meeting held this morning.
