Exclusive Wars Begin Anew
Valiant have announced they are signing up to be distributed excusively by ComiXology. This digital distributor is rapidly becoming the one stop shop, at least as far as repicating the monthly comic shop experience online. While most major companies have other methods of getting their titles out into the digital marketplace, ComiXology also run Marvel, DC and IDW's distribution systems. Dark Horse remains the stubborn outsider.
In an interesting twist this exclusive deal will also include exclusives for all digital devices and formats for collections of the comics as well. I'm not sure how that will affect books distributed through the Apple Bookstore or standard Kindle Amazon listings, but I guess the books won't be coming out in these, unless ComiXology come up with another plan.
As well as going day-and-date on current Valiant titles, they will also be putting available Valiant titles from the previous publisher with that name, starting with the early nineties' X-O Manowar #0-6, Harbinger #0-6 and Bloodshot #0-4.
So.. any other publisher fancy doing the same?
