Harley Quinn Annual (Finally) Gets A Special Digital Version To Make Up For The Lack Of Smell
We were promised some special content for the Harley Quinn Annual digital version, to make up for the lack of rub'n'smell technology. Sadly, the version offered on Wednesday was lacking such bells and whistles. But this weekend it arrived. So I had to buy it again, obviously. For the third time including print…
So what delights does the digital Harley offer? Well, on the original, a little pop-up-Harley appears in the page to point to any rubbable whiffs and make wry comment. She still pops up, but this time has other observations to offer.
Such as credit for her costume choice…
The credits explained.
The ingredients of the pizza being eaten.
Though not everyone is pleased by such revelations.
We see exactly who is being kept at Arkham Asylum today, and frankly I can't think of a better place for him.
We also get a more impactful kiss.
And commentary on other kisses.
You even get the change to swipe right on Dick Grayson.
A realisation regarding the limitations of the technology available.
Even a little meta commentary on the problems with the art.
But this only scratches (and sniffs) the surface. I'm not going to say you have to buy it all over again… but I did. And I rather enjoyed.
