Mortal Kombat X On PC Modded To Let You Play As Unplayable Characters
I've been working my way through Mortal Kombat X and one thing I find weird about the story mode, besides the cutscene to gameplay ratio, is that there are characters you fight who are not playable in the game. These include Baraka, Rain and Sindel. These characters have near full movesets, but can't be accessed from the select screen.
At least, not without some rejigging. Reddit User XVermillion (via IGN) found a way around this by renaming a couple files in the PC version of the game. By changing the name of several sources of Shinnok, they were able to make Rain, Baraka and Sindel playable.

The prevailing theory is that these characters would be used for DLC later on, which is a little iffy as we then descend into the on disc DLC debate. I'd hate to see that played out as NetherRealm have made a very decent game here.
