The winner of the eBay charity aucution to replace Ollie Janson as the secret identy of the main character in Mark Millar and Leinil Yu's Superior has been revealed as one Simon Pooni, who  bid £3100.

A relatively unusual name for an American lead character, it does sound rather apt – and probably worth playing up in the book. The comic stars a teenager with multiple sclerosis who discovers he can become a Supermanalike character. And with a name like that, and in such a physical condition, well, you know how cruel children can be.

Although in a Mark Millar comic, rarely as cruel as the adults.
