Talking Comics – Discussing This Week's Upcoming Titles From Spider-Gwen To Suiciders, Orphan Black, Thor Annual & More!

By Randy Young and Chris Hunter

Bleeding Cool welcomes the return of Talking Comics, from Excalibur Comics, Cards, and Games in Shreveport, Louisiana, to discuss this week's upcoming books, speculating about where they are headed, and discuss their favorite storylines.

Hosts Randy Young and Chris Hunter say:

It's another great week of comic books as we get to dive into fantastic new series that start this week.

Spider-Gwen hits the shelf this week, and for everybody who has been a fan of the Spider-Verse Universe and what has gone on there, we know that you're more than excited to get Spider-Gwen in her brand new series. Expect this number one to fly off the shelves, so be sure you have a copy put back on your pull list.

Suiciders #1, from Lee Bermejo, is another book that we're very much looking forward to getting because we are excited to see Bermejo's art and writing within this series. The artwork previews that we've seen so far look fantastic and we cannot wait to get a full issue of this visual feast that it will be.

Orphan Black #1 continues with the deep story of the TV series, but now in comic book form. If you wanted to to know more about the whole Orphan Black project, this is the series that you should be checking out.

A pro wrestling celebrity makes his debut this week with the Thor Annual #1, with a story written by professional wrestler CM Punk. Also in this Thor Annual, we get to see a story about the young Thor, a story about the old Thor, and a story about the current Thor.

Amazing Spider-Man #15 wraps up the Spider-Verse story line with an epilogue issue, so for fans of Spider-Verse, you will not want to miss this issue.

All-New X-Men #38 continues with the fourth chapter of the Black Vortex storyline as we see that Mr. Knife now has some of our favorite heroes in his clutches, and we also get to see what kind of ace Peter Quill has up his sleeve, and if he can get them out of this situation.

Both Buzz and Chris are huge fans of the current Batman storyline, so we are more than excited to see what is going to happen with the Joker in this new issue of Batman #39. Scott Snyder has taken this character and made him into a mythology that we've never seen before and can't wait to find more about.

Several other of our favorite comics are hitting the shelf this week and we cannot wait to get them in our hands, take them home and read them, and be immersed in a completely different world than what we're used to.

Also, don't forget the Question of the Week because we're talking about Brian Michael Bendis and we want to know what you think of his work!
