The Educators At Wizard World Raleigh: Tom DeFalco, Danny Fingeroth, Ann Nocenti, Dean Haspiel And More

raleigh-comic-con-2015-wizard-world-convention-3-day-weekend-admission-february-13-14-15-2015-17Wizard World Raleigh is taking place this weekend in North Carolina, starting Friday March 13th and running through Sunday March 15th. True to form in recent days, at many of the Wizard shows in 2014 and now 2015, we've seen a step up in the comics-educative nature of the programming, giving fans a chance to hear directly from veteran makers of comics about comics history and their own craft. And that is an excellent thing.

Let me clue you in to some of the quality programming to keep on your radar at Wizard Raleigh if you are a fan of comics history and the medium, as well as animation. Here we have experts in their field, including Tom DeFalco, Danny Fingeroth, Dean Haspiel, Ann Nocenti, and many more:

In 1992, he and several other popular Marvel illustrators left the company to found Image Comics, which started a wave of comic books owned by their creators rather than by publishers. The first book published by Image Comics was Rob's Youngblood #1. His creations Deadpool, Cable, Youngblood and X-Force helped change the comic book landscape and remain staples of both Marvel and Image comics. Danny Fingeroth (Superman on the Couch: What Superheroes Really Tell Us About Ourselves and Our Society) moderates.
