Whatever Happened To The Purple Reality Gem?

It's one of those things that annoyed me, as a comics reader, and I never got an answer to.

In the Bendis-written New Avengers: The Illuminati series, Black Bolt got the Purple Infinite Gem, that controls Space.

Look jjust go with me here, okay?This story bit wasn't just backed up by colour, but in other documentation at the time. Seriously, this was all a big thing. Honest.

Then in Avengers, also written by Brian Bendis,  the naughty Hood character goes to the ruins of Attilan, the dead Black Bolt's home, where he discovers the Yellow Infinity Gem….

…that controls Reality.

Did something go amiss? Did Superboy's punches reach further than we thought? Was there an original colouring error? Or did the decision who got what Gem change for plot purposes? Bet you, if it's one of the latter two someone somewhere will write a way to fix this in canon on eight years time. It might well be you.

Either way, Black Bolt's not talking.

Look, I know, I know, it's just been bugging me. Consider this therapy.
