Wizard World Buy NOLA Comic Con, Merge It With Their Own New Orleans Show

Last week, Bleeding Cool revealed that Wizard were launching a New Orleans Wizard World Comic Con. Some wondered how or if this would affect the existing NOLA Comic Con run by Ronnie Prudhomme, held for the past two years in suburban New Orleans.

Basically, it seems, in the same way Bruce Wayne is dealing with the Chinese Batman.

It has been bought by Wizard and merged with its own event. Basically this means in effect that the NOLA will continue, under the Wizard World name with access to Batarangs William Shatner and the like, run by the existing staff with Wizard input and a spanking new more-central location. The date is still January 29th-30th, and the location still the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
