SPOILERS: The Secret Behind The Collectors Of Action Comics #4
I always like to be blindsided by a comic. One that gives me some pieces of information, holds it in the open light, but then misdirects me completely. Then later, just when I'm not paying attention, slots all the disparate pieces together leaving you going "Aaaaah, that's what was going on."
So if you, like me, enjoy that blindsiding, don't read the following article. Pick up Action Comics #4 by Grant Morrison and Rags Morales and read that. Given that you'd read issues 1 to 3 of course.
However, if you're not intending to read Action Comics #4, maybe you're an old time fan jaded by the new approach, it's possible, just possible, this article may give you reason to pick it up one more time.
Basically, there are spoilers here. Read at your own risk or reducing your pleasure on reading this comic. But maybe, just maybe, encouraging some (like with Detective Comics #1) to pick it up.

Okay, so basically the end of the world is coming. And an alien lifeform, the Terminauts has emerged on Earth, created from our own technology, using our devices, our production lines, our weaponry for their bodies, in order to store and preserve artifacts from Earth before its impending doom. It's not a new sci-fi concept, indeed it's the familiarity of it that blindsided me as to what was going on.
Because these creatures are Collectors. Hoarders. Preservers.
Bottlers.
And welcome to the new origin of the Bottle City Of Kandor.
