Superman Recreates Classic Conman As Donald Trump
Wilbur J Wolfingham is a classic Superman villain, a conman often trying (and sometimes succeeding) to get one over on Metropolis and/or Superman, first created in the early forties.
Originally modelled on WC Grace, he has changed in appearance considerably over the years, settling on a bombastic bald, monocled type.
And he returns to the modern day in tomorrow's Superman #48, as a candidate in the Presidential elections. With a bombastic style that some may find familiar. " I am an expert on things that are super,"
Okay so he still may be bald. But that's Trump, right? "I myself am tremendously super. Tremendously."
Oh and this Superman is kicking right out of the recent Superman/Wonder Woman…
Kingslayer is also another blast from the past, from the seventies. Gene Yang and Howard Porter are just goin through all those Who's Who's with gusto.
Hang on, a moment of humility? Call off te attack dogs, there's no way it can be Trump!Yeah, we've just had Hordr. There's a distinct lack of Es in branding right now. Funny, when I used to work in marketing, there were plenty going round…
Superman #43 is published by DC Comics tomorrow.
