The Underground Releases The Man In Black, The Final Chapter Of The Man In Red Trilogy

Louise Oddball writes,

As DC Comics gears up for it's 2016 line-up and Marvel continues to pound out hit after hit, there are some anxious comic fans out there who couldn't wait any longer and decided to do it themselves. Well, not exactly do it, per say, but they definitely have something to say about the matter.

"DC has been telling us for years that they're going to make a Justice League movie and we know it's coming, but I thought it was time that someone depicted those closed-door meetings over at Warner Brothers with all the failed superhero projects that never came to fruition," says Matt Weinglass, writer and director of the series.

Although The Man in Red Trilogy is noted as a comedy and spoof, Weinglass points out that the third installment, The Man in Black has a darker side. "With the final chapter we wanted to attempt to bridge the gap between the serious fan film and the spoof. My friends and I are all huge fans of the comics and that's why we got together and did this."

The Man in Black is a 16 minute short, written and directed by Matt Weinglass and features Jared Boghosian as The Boy Wonder, Randy Vinneau as The Fastest Man Alive, Neleigh Olson as Princess Diana, Michael Hudson as Superman's "Counterpart", Nikki Nemzer and Robert Weiner as the DC Execs and Matt Weinglass as The Man in Black.
