Thought Bubble Debut: Master Tape by Harry French and Amaru Ortiz Martinez
Debuting at the Thought Bubble convention in a week-and-a-bit, Master Tape by Harry French;
Leo O'Brien is the universe's last remaining record executive. In a future where most of Earth's youth get their thrills jetting into deep space, music fandom has retained only its most passionate, tribal, and now violently militant members; making Leo's job a fine balancing act between shifting units and not getting an axe through the skull.
When chance brings him into contact with an alien refugee whose voice sends the human brain into euphoric, near-religious rapture, Leo thinks he has one last hit on his hands. That's if he can navigate old business rivalries, ferociously passionate fans and his Intern's inconvenient sense of morality.
Master Tape is an over-the-top look at the music industry through the prism of a sci-fi romp. A four issue, full colour series that examines fandom, music and the lunatics who sell it to us.
