Today's X-Men #22 heads into its Age Of Revelation with Jed MacKay, C.F. Villa, and Netho Diaz (XSpoilers)

Today's X-Men #22 is heading into the prophesied future of the Age of Revelation. The zero issue, which was dropped on comic book retailers by surprise, told us of the moment that Doug Ramsey would come to Alaska to join the X-Men, welcomed by Cyclops.

Now known as Revelation, and joined by his wife, Bei, and best alien pal Warlock, and taking control slice by slice, piece by piece, his powers as well as his physical form were enhanced dramatically.

Given what we see in X-Men #22, with Cyclops disagreement with Magik taking on Trevor Fitzroy and the Upstarts, that is an even greater reversal than we thought.

And it even leads to Magik's death.

For now. And Doug Ramsey to take over the X-Men in the fallout.

Leading to plague, pandemic, persecution and pillage.

As a new plague grips the land, developed by the mutant terrorists 3K…

Infectious, killing many, and those it doesn't kill, turned into mutants.

With Doug Ramsey doing his best One World Under Doom impression, taking over Philadelphia for the mutants…

Leading to President Donald Trump to act the only way he knows how…

For the X-Men to respond in the only way they know how now … killing.

The nuking of Washington DC, killing Donald Trump and all those around him, and a brand new now-unchallenged mutant nation growing in the wreckage of the United States Of America. And it all begins in today's X-Men #22…

Not that all the mutants of this future are going along with it. As for where it ends? Well, it looks like Cyclops is going to have to do some time-travelling to convince his younger self. You know, again.
