When The Paybacks Moved From Dark Horse To Heavy Metal

IMG_4122

Donny Cates and Eliot Rahal write,

What happened to The Paybacks? Well, in short…it got canceled over at Dark Horse.

Please don't feel sorry for us. We're doing great. Ask anyone. No harm, no hurt feelings at all. These things happen, and Dark Horse did what they had to do. Well, what they didn't need to do was what came next.

We got a call from our friends over at Dark Horse, and they proceeded to give us their blessing to continue the series elsewhere — they wanted to make sure the story lived on. And, so it does. Crazy, right? What good people!

So, yeah. That's what happened. We shopped the book around and found a wonderful new home at Heavy Metal! The new #1 comes out in July, and what happens after that is up to all of you.

Obviously….we would love it if you would pre-order the book (USING ORDER CODE: MAY161573) and yeah, the final day to do such a thing is THIS FRIDAY, and YES the more books we sell the easier it'll be to keep this thing going for a super long time but, hey…..

You all get asked to do that a lot. So instead of asking you for a millionth time to PLEASE PRE-ORDER THE PAYBACKS, we're just gonna be super cool and chill and show you a bunch of rad art from the amazing Geoff Shaw and Dee Cunniffe.

That's all we got. See you all next month!!
