Mercy, Aphrodite V, Mechanism And Swing Coming From Top Cow, Announced At Wondercon
Right now, Matt Hawkins and Bryan Hill are giving a presentation over at Wondercon in Los Angeles. We have their big announcements and some art to go with them.
First up is there hiring of two new folks and the promotion of a third. Elena Salcedo is being promoted to Director of Operations while they are adding Ashley Victoria Robinson as an Assistant Editor and Henry Barajas as Operations Coordinator.
Ashley Victoria Robinson is a Canadian actor and writer. She is the co-creator and star of The Red Shirt Diaries and can be seen on your TV in a couple different commercials. She regularly contributes to MajorSpoilers.com and ComicBook.com, Ashley is also a winner of the Top Cow Talent Hunt 2013 and has had several comics works published through them. She really, really likes foxes. She can be found on twitter @AshleyVRobinson.
Henry Barajas lives the world of comic books as a blogger, writer and publisher, while also making time to work as a comedian, online editor, reporter, public radio DJ and talk show sidekick. His work has appeared in the Tucson Weekly, Arizona Daily Star, and The Comics Beat, which garnered him a nomination for the Shel Dorf Blogger of the Year award. He is currently writing a graphic novel about the time his great-grandfather, Tata Rambo, helped the Pascua Yaqui community become a federally recognized Native American tribe.
And to their publishing annoucements:
First up will be Mechanism written, drawn and colored by Raffaele Ienco to come out in July. Ienco is currently doing art on Symmetry. The first five issues of Mechanism are already completed.
Then there is Aphrodite V, a new series in late 2016/early 2017 by Bryan Hill and Jeffrey Spokes. This is a series that takes place after Cyber-Force Rebirth and the Cyber-Force:Artifacts Line Webtoons free online series: (http://www.webtoons.com/en/action/cyberforce/list?title_no=531)
It's set in the near present. Here are some of Jeffrey Spokes designs.
Following up on the Sunstone series will be Mercy, another 5 volume series. It features characters introduced in Sunstone. Some of Stjepan Sejic's cover art below. Series to debut summer 2017
And finally there is Swing, a new series by Linda Sejic, Jenni Cheung & Matt Hawkins due out late Fall 2016. This is a companion series for Sunstone, Mercy and Blood Stain. Logo and some early character designs below.
