DOOM To Run At A "Consistent 30 FPS" For The Nintendo Switch
In an interview with Rolling Stone, an unnamed Bethesda spokesperson talked about DOOM coming to the Nintendo Switch, in which they elaborated on the performance of the game. As you'll see in the quote below, they confirmed the game will be running at 30 FPS on the system, but they promise that the visuals will be worth it.
"The game and rendering technology underlying Doom is extremely scalable. In bringing Doom to Switch, we targeted outstanding visuals at a solid 30 fps and by maintaining a consistent 30 fps, the experience remains consistently fluid and smooth. We've been thrilled with the feedback that Doom is among the very best looking and performing games on Switch."
There's a lot of promises coming from Bethesda when it comes to the game, primarily on how they plan to cram such a big title in such a small amount of space as it was revealed last month that the Switch version is only 9GB, while the multiplayer options are an entirely separate download. We'll just have to see when the game is released on November 10th.
