Black Desert Launches the Xbox One Open Beta Today
UPDATE: We were sent an update through the PR firm handling Black Desert on Xbox One on Nov. 12th that the original info we were sent below was incorrect, due to a miscommunication on their end. No official release date has been set for the game, and probably won't be set until sometime after the beta.
Pearl Abyss has just released the beta for Black Desert on the Xbox One, which will run from now until November 12th. If you decide to participate in the beta and then get the game later on Xbox One, there is said to be some surprises for your profile when its released in 2019. Yes, 2019. For those of you who were hoping to see the game in the fall, it appears that it's now being pushed back. The PR info we received on the Xbox One version specifically told us "Participating players in the Open Beta will receive a special in-game surprise when it launches to the public in 2019." Considering they still have yet to put a proper release date on the game, it wouldn't shock us if it got pushed. For now, here's some of the details about the beta.
- Extensive character progression with a level cap set to 40, giving players a feel for the game and its comprehensive skill system.
- In-game missions, four general player events, and seven daily game master events that will reward players throughout their Open Beta journey.
- Six available playable classes with their own unique playstyle— the Berserker, Ranger, Sorceress, Warrior, Witch, and Wizard.
- Immersive activities bringing a sense of realism to the living, breathing world within Black Desert, including fishing, cooking, horse training, and more.
