CD Projekt Red Confirms They're Not Working on Another Witcher Game

Those of you who were hope and begging and wishing and praying for CD Projekt Red to be working on another game for The Witcher, you'll be disappointed to hear that the company currently has nothing in the works for a brand new game. As a matter of fact, the company didn't really have ambitions to make one after The Witcher 3 and have always thought of the series as a trilogy. The news came from the Pareto Securities' Gaming Seminar where DJ Projekt Red's Adam Kicinski broke the news to people after briefly touching on it during a panel, saying "We can't create Witcher 4 because that was a trilogy from the beginning."

It's not like the company could make a new game right now even if they wanted to, with all of their resources fully working on two titles at once with Gwent currently in the works for PC, PS4, and Xbox One to be released sometime this year, and the rest of the company (including the recently opened studio) hammering away on Cyberpunk 2077, and a team planning out a third RPG set for a 2021 release date. For now, we say be happy with what you've gotten so far and look forward to the team making new games. Or be stubborn until they maybe decide to make a new one in five years.
