Code Vein Shows off Gameplay, Story, and Anime Cutscenes in New Trailer
Bandai Namco's Code Vein has gotten a hyperactive new trailer, showing off the gameplay, the vampiric story, and a glimpse at the anime cutscenes.
As pitches go, "Dark Souls but anime" isn't a terrible one, and Code Vein seems to be delivering on it. For a certain type of person, this game could very well be huge. This new trailer is eager to show off all it has, too, from big bosses to vaguely hard rock songs. When it comes to gameplay, it sure does look Souls-y with some of the bosses looking pretty compelling. On the other side, it gives us our best look at the story in the game thus far, with plenty of animated cutscenes, as produced by studio Ufotable.

While the game doesn't have a hard release date yet, the trailer promises it is coming in 2018. We'll be sure to keep you updated.
