Deceit 2 Releases New Halloween Content This Week

Looking for another Halloween event in a video game? The developers of Deceit 2 have released one with some new cosmetics to snag.

Indie game developer and publisher World Makers has released a new update for Deceit 2 that gives the game new Halloween content. For this particular event,  the Game Master has decided to play some extra tricks on everyone with the reward of special limited-time treats to help you get into the holiday spirit. The event kicks off today as you can play a special frightening candy-collecting event, putting an extra little spin on the main game, all in a redesigned macabre makeover of Millhaven Asylum. We have more info on the event below, but you have until November 6 to get in and snag all the gear before it goes away.

Innocents and Terrors alike can complete tasks to earn candy and redeem for themed cosmetics in the Emporium. The spine-chilling update also adds the Warden role, which allows the selected Human to banish any player. Beware, the new role comes with a wicked twist: if a fellow Human is banished, then the Warden will be eliminated, too. The new skins include:

  • Awaken Terror skin – the first Terror skin for Deceit 2.
  • Masquerade skins from the original Deceit – the skins are free to players who earned them in Deceit 2.
  • New costumed skins for the characters introduced in Deceit 2.
    • Soul Buster Priya
    • Cultist Jak
    • Friday 13th Beck

"While our Halloween event might look sweet on the outside, the Game Master never shies away from the true intent of his Ritual of Deceit," said James Thompson, CEO World Makers. "While our launch was not what we originally envisioned, we're focused on providing quality-of-life improvements and addressing feedback to provide the best gameplay experience for our community. Players will start to see these changes in our first post-launch event, which pays tribute to All Hallows Eve and the terrors that lurk in the shadows."
