Exploring the Construction Simulator that is Pretz'l Land
The other fun little indie title we got to check out from EuroVideo at PAX East this year was a construction simulator called Pretz'l Land. The game focuses on bits of German culture in a fun animated way, taking place in the Alps where players can build country villages to their liking. To be more specific, the focus is on Bavarian culture where you can tend to you beer gardens, travel to famous landmarks in the country, and taking part in Oktoberfest. We only got to try out a little bit from the demo they had available and from what we could see it works the same way a lot of other mobile and console building sims work, the values of what you're playing with have just changed a bit to be more fun and celebrational.
We enjoyed the game and kinda dug what it had to offer, especially when most games that feature Germans tend to focus on the negative. This is a fun title that should capture the attention of people who enjoy these sims. The game is sleted to be released this year for iOS and Android, but a timeframe hasn't been released yet.
