Kaamos Announced For Steam Release This Month

Indie game developer Pepperbox Studios and publisher indie.io revealed their next game, Kaamos, will be released on Steam later this month. The team is calling this a "bite-sized" title in which they have mixed turn-based and puzzle mechanics into a retro-looking roguelike, in which players will fight battles by matching tiles on a grid, attempting to loop them into rows and columns. You'll craft a character out by using different tiles from a deck, while also using equipment you've looted from fallen enemies so you can continue to grow and fight on. Kaamos
Kaamos is a bite-sized turn-based puzzle roguelike where battles are fought by matching tiles on a grid with looping rows and columns. Build your character and deck of tiles by looting equipment from your foes. Traverse a dark medieval world where the Sun went down and never rose again. Face hostile opponents in duels to the death where you see enemy actions in advance. Match tiles of the same color on a grid where dragging a row or column loops it back on the other side in order to counter the incoming onslaught of enemy attacks.
