The Kingdom Hearts Orchestra Announces U.S. Premiere Dates For June
Back in March, the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra had amazing shows in London, Paris, and Tokyo for fans of the popular series. It appears those shows may have boosted the company's confidence to take the show on the road a few more times as they'll be returning to Japan in Osaka in July, but not before the come to the United States for the first time in June. The World Tour will be coming to Los Angeles on June 10, 11, and 14 at the Dolby Theatre, and then later that month in New York on June 23 and 24 at the United Palace Theatre.
Much like Video Games Live or The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, the music is synced with an HD video of the game that shows fan-favorite selections played live with a 100 musician orchestra and a backing choir. The video was put together by director Tetsuya Nomura, specifically so fans would get the most out of the show and to help celebrate the game's 15th anniversary.
The concerts also feature voice actors Risa Uchida (Kairi/Xion) and Megumi Toyoguchi (Aqua) who have recorded short voice sequences for the concert, while music composer Yoko Shimomura will conduct each performance. As part of each show, 150 VIP tickets will be available to meet and greet with her after the performance with one signature and one photo per person. You'll also be able to purchase a CD of the orchestra at every show if you'd like to take the experience home.
Tickets for the LA show are available through Ticket Master and the NYC show through Tickeyfly, but you have to do some searching for the shows as they're not being promoted on the main website as there's no direct link for purchasing right now.
