More Discounts Have Been Added to the PlayStation Classic

Sony may want to reconsider a number of things when it comes to the PlayStation Classic as new discounts are being reported across the country post-Christmas. Multiple sources are reporting that sales for the mini console have been sluggish at best, and now discounts have been put on it going all the way to 40% off at Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop. As far as the reasoning, it appears fans were just unimpressed with the library, compounded with the cost and the fact that you couldn't so much with it since adding any games to it came with risks that might brick the system.

It appears that reviews of the console from major news and reviews sources didn't help it either as the PlayStation Classic was heavily panned by most as a missed opportunity, and viewed more as the company trying to cash in on nostalgia, hoping it would do as well as the NES and SNES versions from Nintendo. If the company made some improvements to it or changed up the model, maybe it might do better. But for now, it looks like the console was a failure during the holidays.
