Nintendo Going To Be Somewhat Low-Key At E3 Again
A small item overlooked by many from the earning report last week is the fact that Nintendo has no big press conferences planned at this year's event. As always, the company will be there in full force with their own section to show off confirmed games like Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey, but they're leaving all the major announcements to other companies while they focus on the floor.
You can read the full commentary on E3 through this PDF from the company, but this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has become familiar with Nintendo's plans of action over the past few years. Last year, Nintendo's primary focus was showing off The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, back when the Switch was known as "the NX," along with some other random Wii U and 3DS games on the way. We'll see if Nintendo decides to change things up and do something special for PAX this year, but aside from those two games and probably playing the new 2DS and upcoming amiibo characters, expect Nintendo to keep to themselves a lot during the event.
