'Nioh' Is About To Crank Up The Difficulty To 11

The game may only be a couple weeks old, but that's isn't going to stop Koei Tecmo from giving players a brand new set of challenges right out of the gate on Nioh. The first big update for the game will be coming sometime in March or April, as Team Ninja's action RPG will be looking to give you a challenge.

Gematsu translated the downloadable stream from KT today, describing ten degrees of difficulty missions that will feel like boss-rush battles, as well as a PvP mode that will come in April. No doubt this is going to put the average gamer to the test, and push the limits of those who have already climbed the mountain, conquered it and slid back down it on their shield to try all over again. The game has already received high praise from multiple reviewers for the difficulty and story, along with what can best be described as one of the finest inventory and management systems to come out of an RPG in years that doesn't feel like endless clutter.

When it finally becomes active, the PvP system is going to put a lot of confident players and their creations to the test. The only true way to know if you've become the best is to throw your best creation into the fire with everyone else. Can't wait to see all the screenshots of hatred and celebration in April.
