Overwatch Getting Another Free Weekend This Week

Blizzard has a habit of showing off what Overwatch can do every few months and February will be no different as the company will offer another free weekend this week. The announcement came out this week via their Twitter feed.

There doesn't seem to be any specific reason for the free weekend other than Blizzard doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. The first round of the Overwatch League just ended and won't kick back in until February 21st, the Lunar event already kicked off and will still be happening during the free weekend, there are no major holidays beyond the Chinese New Year, which will be on February 16th. While it could be tied to the new year, there's no indication that it would be the reason. So the timing is weird, but honestly, who is going to say no to playing a game for free, right?
