Watch This Pro Fortnite Player Share a Big Money Victory with His Dad
It isn't too often, especially with the way esports are run, that you get to share a moment with your family over a victory on the spot. For one Fortnite player, that's not entirely true. Right now Epic Games is currently holding their Fortnite Summer Skirmish with the chance of willing $8m in prizes to those who can truly best some of the best out there.
Yesterday, a player by the name of Reverse2K scored a major victory over the weekend that netted him a cool $86k, where he scored the first $50k from his victory and additional $38k based on his performance in the game. And the first person he talked to about it (besides the audience watching) was his own dad, who called him up as he was in tears over the win.
Say what you will about kids with ambitions of growing up to become esports pros or even just professional content streamers for a living — that's one of those moments where you see the entire thing pay off. And it's not one of those over-celebratory cocky moments either; this is genuine with heartfelt emotion between a guy and his dad. We're basically trying to say that it's sweet.
