Reverse: 1999 – Horrorpedia

As the nickname implies, Horropedia (otherwise known as Joshua) craves all things spooky. As a field investigator for St. Pavlov's Foundation, he's well-known for venturing off to investigate haunted sites without permission. Despite Horropedia being a few years older than Timekeeper Vertin, they consider themselves longtime friends. Both frequently found themselves in detention or at the infirmary for long periods of time while enrolled in the School Of Primary Defense Of Mankind (SPDM). Coincidentally, the infirmary is where both Horropedia and Vertin got to know the braces-wearing, oral surgeon Tooth Fairy.

When Horropedia, Vertin and Tooth Fairy meet by chance in the corridors of the Foundation, the resident retro horror movie lover explains he's looking for companions to join him on his next "suicide mission." And with that, A Nightmare At Green Lake unfolds! Horropedia is a support dispeller / sub-DPS with Mineral Afflatus. He inflicts mental damage and can dispel buffs with one skill, while he deals damage to enemies without buffs. Horropedia enhances his own and his entire team's mental damage with his Ultimate, "Twins' Play," which inflicts [Fear] and increases the amount of mental damage taken by 25%. It's inevitable that players will encounter stages filled with buffed enemies. Horropedia is an excellent addition to any team, as he can easily dispel enemy buffs and shred through foes in a short span of attacks.

Horropedia's In-Depth Skill Introduction

  • Logic Dictates: Single-target attack that deals mental damage and dispels all [Stats Up] and [Pos Status] status effects from the enemy.
  • Sideshow: Single-target attack that deals mental damage. If the enemy has the [Stats Up] or [Pos Status] status effect, this skill deals additional mental damage.
  • Ultimate Skill, "Twins' Play": Mass attack that deals mental damage to all enemies and inflicts [Scared] on them. [Scared] increases the amount of mental damage taken.
  • Insight 1: When using Rank 2 or above [Logic Dictates], also dispel all [Counter] status effects from the target.
  • Insight 2: Upon entering battle, reduce damage taken.
  • Insight 3: When using rank two or above Arcane skills, increase the damage dealt.

A Build Guide for Horropedia

  • Psychubus
    • His Bounden Duty (Recommended): Increases basic damage and increases the damage of the Ultimate when scoring a kill.
    • Hopscotch: Horropedia is the main damage dealer while Hopscotch significantly boosts the damage dealt from his Arcane skills.
    • Her Second Life: Provides some healing ability.
  • Team Build
    • Horropedia is a rather easy character to integrate into a team. His kit is fairly self-contained and functions as both support and DPS for the team. Therefore, his role doesn't need to be that defined. Virtually any mental damage teammate should be able to work with him, including both damage dealers and support characters. For example, anyone who can debuff the enemy's mental defense, such as Baby Blue, or a more hard-hitting mental damage character like Charlie or Melania, would work very well.
    • Horropedia can be the main DPS of a team. One example is a team consisting of Horropedia / Baby Blue / a healer would work.
    • Players can also opt for a team where Horropedia is the support / sub-DPS. For instance, Charlie / Horropedia / a healer.
