Revisiting Necrobarista at PAX West and Waiting For a Release Date
One of the games we fell in love with a last year's PAX West was a little indie title named Necrobarista, and we haven't been able to get it out of our head. The Australian developers at Route 59 returned this year with a longer demo of the game which we immediately signed up for on day one the minute we knew it was coming back. If you're not familiar with this game, it's a story-driven title where you play a necromancer who happens to own a coffee shop where the dead happen to find their way to her when they discover nowhere else to go.
As you click through the story, you'll see certain highlighted words you can click on and collect. Holding onto certain words will unlock parts of the story for you to play through and discover more about what's going on in this world and with what's happening to the proprietor of the shop. The game has a certain visual style that captivated us at first glance, and the story itself is one we wish to play right now. Sadly, we must wait for Necrobarista to be released in early 2019.
