Several PUBG Esports Players Receive Multi-Year Bans for Cheating

Well, that's awkward. If you're going professionally play a game like PUBG as an esport, maybe you shouldn't use your training time to cheat. PUBG Corp. has been taking a much more proactive approach when it comes to catching cheaters, even launching their own sting events where they look for specific programs running in the background of games while you play. In a recent search for players using radar hacks on their games, the company got much more than they were bargaining for as they snagged several professional esports players who have competed in PUBG tournaments.

On the company's TwitLonger profile, they issued a statement on these players who were caught and issued some stiff penalties, which included multi-year bans from the game. Meaning many of these pro players lost their spots in tournaments and placements they previously earned, and can no longer compete in PUBG tournaments. When you got a company who is flat-out saying that your participation int he game is "severely damaging the integrity of the game", you know you're in deep. What these players do moving forward is unknown, but it's pretty cool to see a company ban players no matter what their skill level or popularity is at.
