Shiny Nimble Introduced to Pokémon GO in New Event
The Small Yet Strong event is the first major Pokémon GO event of February 2025, and it features the release of Shiny Nymble.
Article Summary

After a Shiny mishap with Nymble way back when, Niantic has kept this tiny Paldean species from shining. Now, Shiny Nymble will finally get a proper release in Pokémon GO with the Small Yet Strong event.
Here's what's happening for the Small Yet Strong event in Pokémon GO:
- Date and time: Wednesday, February 5, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time
- Shiny release: Nimble will debut in its Shiny form. It should be noted that while Niantic lists this as the "first time" this species can be encountered in its Shiny form, it was briefly available by mistake quite some time ago. Niantic quickly removed Nimble's capability to be Shiny, but it was reported by the community that some Trainers were able to get it before the error was caught. This is quite similar to when Niantic briefly allowed East Sea Shellos to spawn out of region upon debut. In any case, Shiny Nimble will finally be available for all to hunt.
- Wild Spawns: Paras, Natu, Plant Cloak Burmy, Sandy Cloak Burmy, Trash Cloak Burmy, Joltik, Tynamo, Red Flower Flabébé (appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), Blue Flower Flabébé (appearing in the Asia-Pacific region), Yellow Flower Flabébé (appearing in the Americas), and Nymble. White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé will be Rare spawns appearing worldwide. All of the above species can be encountered in their Shiny forms.
