Square Enix Debuts The Trailer For Toji No Miko: Kizamishi Issen No Tomoshibi
Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming game Toji No Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Tomoshibi, based on the 2017 manga that has been gaining popularity in Japan, as well as the new anime series Katana Maidens ~ Toji No Miko. This is the first we've seen of the game since the teaser back at the 2017 Tokyo Game Show, but at that point, it was nothing more than an announcement for a title that few outside Japan were even familiar with. Now the details have come to light that this will be a smartphone game that will be released on Android and iOS devices, and the game will be free-to-play without microtransactions or any other pay-to-play nonsense behind it.
If you're not familiar with the story, you probably won't be particularly surprised that it's about a bunch of school girls (with all the high school drama and sexual tension dialog you might expect) who just happen to wield katanas and are in a secret group that do battle against random creatures called the Aradama who show up to do bad things. Oh, and all of their work is supported by the government as long as they stay in school, so, you know, gotta get that educational message in there somewhere.
