Square Enix Drops The New 'Left Alive' Trailer At Tokyo Game Show
Square Enix had a bit of a surprise for people at Tokyo Game Show as the publisher highlighted details for Left Alive and dropped a new trailer on everyone. The survival action shooter has been in the dark for a while now as people have only been getting what few details the company has allowed them to learn with few leaks. First and foremost, this is indeed a spiritual successor to Front Mission, and will be set in the same universe in 2127 between Front Mission 5 and Front Mission Evolved.
As you can see from the artwork, Left Alive will have three different protagonists to move the story along, as you'll be able to choose which past you take and with who to give you different perspectives and (probably) different endings depending on what you do. Of course, several outlets have pointed out that a lot of the game's aspects sound a lot like Metal Gear, and it's kinda hard not to look at the trailer below and see the similarities. It'll be interesting to see how the series makes a shift from tactical RPG's to shooter, but the trailer does give hope that they know what they're getting themselves into as we wait for the game to come out next year.
