The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is Coming to Nintendo Switch

Old-school Zelda fans are about to get an amazing surprise as The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is getting remastered for the Nintendo Switch. During the Nintendo Direct feed yesterday, we got to see a preview trailer for what is essentially a re-imagined version of the game in a 3D world, as if it were made for the Switch today. The game is 26 years old this year, but anyone who has played it can tell you that not only does it hold up, but it's probably one of the harder Zelda games of this type. Not to mention having enemies and a plot that isn't driven around fighting Ganon and rescuing Zelda, making it an oddity in the series in some ways. No date was given for the release beyond 2019, but man, did they give us a trailer to watch.
