Planet Of The Apes: The Role-Playing Game

Developed by a team of award-winning writers and game designers under the leadership and direction of acclaimed writer/designer Andrew E.C. Gaska, this series will contain material inspired by the canon established in the original five-film series, adding new lore and adventures to this sprawling science fiction universe. The brand-new tabletop RPG will launch under the Magnetic Press Play gaming imprint with a hardcover Core Rulebook featuring cover artwork by legendary artist Bill Sienkiewicz.

This deluxe 300+ page volume will contain all the rules, statistics, and lore necessary to introduce new players to the legacy of Planet of the Apes. A separate sourcebook, The Ansa Files, will provide references and resources specific to the classic films, novels, and comics. A limited-edition Slipcase Set of the two hardcovers will be available exclusively through a pre-order campaign launching soon with unique textured casing that will appeal to true collectors and gaming aficionados.

In addition to these hardcover books, a Forbidden Zone Campaign Boxed Set will contain an assortment of supplemental tools and content to help players explore this dangerous region menacingly referenced throughout the series. Contents will include a campaign and adventure book, unique maps and player markers, a set of 12 thematic "Alpha and Omega" 6-sided dice, a 3-panel Lawgiver Reference Screen with handy tables, and a deck of game statistics cards.

Set on a strange yet familiar planet dominated by intelligent apes, the Planet Of The Apes RPG will introduce fans old and new to the dynamic action, politics, and warfare between apes, time-displaced astronauts, and the post-apocalyptic survivors of humanity. Beginning back in 1968 with the groundbreaking first film, the Planet Of The Apes franchise has spanned nine films, a TV series, video games, comics, and books.
